About

I am a figurative artist, working initially from observation and using this gathered information to further my ideas for paintings.

My subjects are also drawn from my eclectic collection of sketchbooks which are a prominent source of material in my process, as well as a way to work through ideas or concepts.

Some paintings are a quick response in which I hope to retain the marks and energy of the initial workings. Others are crafted from a process of addition and subtraction to the paint surface until the original idea becomes somehow real.
